London Markets Awards panel recognises commitment to new talent

We are delighted to announce that Barbican Insurance Group was awarded the ‘Corporate Social Responsibility Award’ at the London Market Awards 2014. The event, which was hosted by Insurance Day, recognises outstanding achievements in the London insurance market.

The CSR award acknowledges those companies that clearly demonstrate a strong commitment to being a proactive corporate citizen to both stakeholders and the communities in which they operate. The awards panel stated: “[Barbican] has undertaken a number of activities which impressed the judges, including its commitment to helping develop the industry talent of tomorrow. In September 2013, it launched its Insurance Academy which aims to support apprentices and deepen the industry’s talent pool.”

Commenting on the success, David Reeves, chief executive of Barbican, said: “We are proud to be recognised by the London market for our CSR endeavours. Barbican is in a privileged position to make a difference to the lives of those within our organisation and beyond, whether that’s by fostering new talent, supporting charitable organisations, or acknowledging our environmental responsibilities within the workplace."
