Barbican website sets the 'Gold' standard

London, 22nd April 2016 – We are proud to announce that our recently launched Barbican Insurance Group website has received a ‘Gold Award’ in the ‘Banking and Finance’ category at the Horizon Interactive Awards.
One of the most prestigious awards in the field of interactive and creative media, the Horizon Interactive Awards recognise leading-edge examples of website, video, app and online advertising design and functionality. Now in its 14th year, the awards attracted more than 1,200 entries from over 40 different countries.
Barbican was awarded the ‘Gold’ standard by a select panel of industry-leading professionals in the fields of multi-media, graphic design, advertising and marketing. The panel recognised the high levels of creativity and originality, the design and user experience, and the clarity of message, as well as the technical merit and overall effectiveness of the site.
www.barbicaninsurance.com was built by award-winning web design agency Liquid Light (www.liquidlight.co.uk) and was launched in October 2015. Since then, the site has generated 40,000 visits and resulted in a 68% increase in web traffic compared to the same time period last year. Designed to deliver the optimum user experience, it capitalises on multi-level functionality, data capture capabilities, smartphone compatibility and improved ‘one-click’ navigability.
Other winners on the night included leading digital innovators such as 20th Century Fox which won ‘Best on Show’ for its interactive global GPS 'spy' challenge website launched to promote their movie blockbuster 'Kingsman'.
