Barbican announces new leadership structure for Syndicate 1955

London, 9th September 2016 – Barbican Insurance Group today announced that it has implemented a new leadership structure for Syndicate 1955. The structure establishes divisional heads for each of the four underwriting divisions within the syndicate.
With immediate effect, and in addition to Simon Saunders existing role as divisional head of marine, aviation and transport; David Slade has been appointed divisional head of property; Olivier Decombes has been appointed divisional head of energy, power and utilities; and Andy Caldwell has been appointed divisional head of specialty. Mr. Caldwell will also continue in his role as deputy active underwriter for the syndicate. Each of the divisional heads will report into David Booth, active underwriter for Syndicate 1955.
