Job Description:

This role will report to the Senior Operations Analyst within the Agency Operations team.  You will be responsible for day to day analysis and support of Barbican’s Claims and Delegated Authorities teams to ensure that Barbican exceeds the principles and minimum standards set out by Lloyd’s in addition to achieving pre-defined objectives and targets.

Key Responsibilities

Provision of low level technical support for both the Claims and Delegated Authorities teams. This may include bordereaux processing, diary management, account specific reviews and/or ad hoc requests.

Supervision of external partners such as loss adjusting and legal panels, third party administrators and auditors to ensure compliance with key performance metrics and billing guidelines.

Supervision of delegated authorities to ensure effective operational management and oversight. This will include receipt and monitoring of bordereaux, performance metrics, loss funds and audit reports.

Supervision of outsource arrangements to ensure compliance with key performance metrics and billing guidelines.

Development of Barbican’s management information and reporting capabilities in conjunction with the Senior Operations Analyst. This will include the provision of both operational performance and technical claims reports to the business as required.

Protection of Barbican's corporate reputation and interests by maintaining adequate control and supervision over communications and documentation considered confidential and/or subject to legal privilege.

Compliance with legal, ethical and regulatory responsibilities applicable to Lloyd’s Managing Agents in general and arising out of claims from policies underwritten by Barbican Syndicates. This will include responsibilities imposed upon Barbican under the various Lloyd’s Claims Schemes and Lloyd’s Minimum Standards (especially Customer MS9) and other relevant Barbican policies and procedures and industry standards.

Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders including Underwriting, Finance, Actuarial, Brokers and Reinsurers.

Academic qualifications, A-Level’s preferred. GCSE Mathematics C Grade is preferable.
