A fast turnaround for underwriting decisions across a broad range of property risks.
- Property insurance for primarily North American commercial risks
- Long-term relationships, swift decision-making and consistently high service levels
- Primary, excess of loss, full value basis plus binding authorities
With a broad portfolio of commercial property insurance risks, our underwriting remit spans large, open-market risks through to smaller operations through our binder operation.
Complementing our open-market portfolio of larger risks, we have built a strong binder business working with established and experienced coverholders to produce a balanced book of business.
We write for smaller commercial businesses, including hotels, motels, bars, restaurants, gas stations, as well as vacant buildings and builder's risk. We also consider risks written on an HO6 wording.
We write businesses throughout the world with the majority of our contracts being in respect of North America. We are a market for lead and follow business. Barbican has an underwriting guide which can be tailored to meet individual requirements. This includes natural catastrophe and non-natural catastrophe exposed portfolios.
