Ondine joined Barbican in March 2011 and is head of insurance, overseeing Syndicate 1955's insurance lines.
When she joined Barbican, she was originally responsible for US Casualty treaty. Over time, her responsibilities expanded to include International Casualty treaty, Healthcare and A&H insurance and more recently she moved solely to insurance lines.
Prior to joining the company, she was at Faraday Syndicate 435 where she wrote a lead book of US casualty reinsurance and hospital business.
Ondine brings over twenty years extensive experience of underwriting to Barbican after graduating with an MSc in insurance and risk management at CASS Business School.
Olivier is head of energy, power & utilities.
Prior to joining Barbican, Olivier was chief underwriting manager for offshore energy at CV Starr.
He joined the firm in 2010 to setup Starr Operations in Continental Europe.
From 2005 to 2010, he worked at Infrassure, most latterly as upstream and downstream regional manager for the MENA and Asia regions.
Before entering the insurance sector, Olivier spent 12 years at Schlumberger Oilfield Services where he held several operational and management positions from Offshore Field Engineer to Senior Manager at HQ in a wide range of environments in Africa, Asia, LatAm and North America.
Jacqueline joined Barbican in May 2017 and is class underwriter for upstream energy.
Jacqueline brings over 15 years of insurance industry experience to Barbican’s Syndicate 1955, including 12 years working specifically in the energy sector. Most recently, she was class underwriter, upstream energy at XL Catlin, having taken up the role in July 2014. Prior to this, she was regional director, Asia Pacific, for power, energy and construction at Lockton (Singapore) and energy underwriter at Catlin (Singapore).
Jacqueline also holds a degree in business with specialism in insurance.
Marc joined Barbican from Starr Underwriting Agents, where he was an onshore energy senior underwriter across oil, petrochemical and chemical lines of business.
He spent eight years in the onshore energy division at Starr, having initially joined the firm in 2008. He began his insurance career in 2006, working in the property division at Hiscox.
Annabelle joined Barbican in September 2014 and is an underwriter for energy.
Prior to joining Barbican, Annabelle completed the graduate programme at Lloyd's which included placements in risk management, performance management directorate and underwriting.
Annabelle is ACII qualified. Annabelle also holds a degree in biochemistry from Imperial College London.
Connor joined Barbican in February 2018 as an Underwriting Assistant in the Upstream Energy team.
Prior to joining Barbican, Connor spent two and a half years in the Political and Credit Division at Novae.
Connor is Cert CII qualified and is working towards his Diploma accreditation.
Julita joined Barbican in August 2018 as an underwriting assistant within the upstream energy team.
Prior to joining Barbican, Julita was senior insurance analyst and process lead at XLC in their Wroclaw office.
Julita holds a master’s degree in administration from the University of Wroclaw and postgraduate studies in finance and accounting from the Wroclaw University of Economics.
