Gareth Tungatt joined Barbican in May 2009 as a specialist underwriter focusing on e-commerce risks. Formerly with ACE Global Markets, Gareth brings to the operation the benefit of 13 years experience of underwriting and placing technology and cyber risks in the London Insurance market.

He has developed substantial expertise in this dynamic sector, contributing to several industry publications on insurance risk management for the e-commerce sector and working with a number of blue-chip organisations in a specialised risk consultancy role.

Gareth had previously worked at Willis Professional Risks as an Account Executive, servicing and placing the PI accounts on behalf of a broad range of client companies. Prior to this, he was a PI Underwriter and New Business Team Leader at HCC Diversified Financial Products where he underwrote UK Professional Indemnity.
