We concentrate on writing both working layer and catastrophe structures for casualty reinsurance. Most classes of business are covered – including Medical Malpractice, General Liability and Workers’ Compensation.
Core clients are mutual, regional and specialty insurance carriers in Canada and the USA. We underwrite risk retention groups and captive insurers as well.

Ondine brings well over 10 years extensive experience of casualty underwriting to Barbican. Ondine joined Barbican in March 2011, taking over the division from John Pilkington when he moved to the full time role of Technical Deputy Underwriter in the Barbican underwriting management team.
