Financial & Professional Lines forms part of Barbican’s Specialty division, and is headed up by Andrew Pearson.
Its focus is on non-US financial institutions, offering the following products:
- Comprehensive Crime
- Professional Indemnity
- Directors & Officers insurance.
We also provide non-US commercial Directors & Officers cover (including companies with ADRs).
We handle both primary and excess, concentrating on mainly middle-market clients in the following territories: the UK, Asia, Europe (including Eastern Europe), Australia, South Africa and Canada.
We will also consider opportunities in other regions, subject to market conditions.

Stuart’s career in the insurance industry stretches back to his underwriting time at Royal & Sun Alliance in the nineties.
Most recently, he was responsible for upgrading the level of Zurich’s professional indemnity performance in a number of different European countries.
Stuart joined Barbican as Divisional Manager (Speciality) at the start of 2012.
